Courteney Cox is opening up about what happened during the emergency landing Jennifer Aniston‘s private plane had to make while they were heading to Mexico.
The 54-year-old Cougar Town actress was on board with Jen and several other friends as they were heading to Cabo San Lucas to celebrate Jen‘s 50th birthday party.
While they were in the air, the plane started experiencing some problems with its landing gear.
“I’m not afraid of flying at all, my dad was a pilot, but I was really scared because when we were taking off, we heard this really loud bang,” Courteney shared with Extra. “I was like, ‘Oh, that sounds like we should probably check that tire.’”
Courteney continued, “There was no tire at all, there was no wheel. Luckily, there are two wheels on each side and two in the front.”
“I have to say, we were in the air for four hours, burning off fuel and just thought of what it is going to be like when we land,” Courteney explained. “It was a really smooth landing.”
Courteney went on to share that she texted her 14-year-old daughter Coco and boyfriend Johnny McDaid while they were still in the air.
“I sent a little text to Coco, ‘I love you,’” Courteney said. “I didn’t say why, and to Johnny. I told him everything that was going on and I FaceTimed him after.”
After the scary situation, the ladies boarded another plane and made it to Cabo safely.
