Giada De Laurentiis Leaving Food Network After 21 Years, Lands New Deal with Amazon Studios

Giada De Laurentiis‘ time on Food Network is coming to an end.

On Friday (February 10), Food Network confirmed that the 52-year-old celeb chef is leaving the network after 21 years after she signed a new multi-year deal with Amazon Studios.

“Giada De Laurentiis is culinary royalty, someone who has taught audiences how to properly pronounce every cut of pasta imaginable for nearly two decades,” a spokesperson for Food Network shared with People. “Food Network will always be proud of the beautiful content we have created together, and our table will always have an open seat for Giada.”

On Thursday (February 9), Deadline announced that Giada had signed a multi-year overall deal with Amazon Studios to develop and executive produce unscripted series.

Giada celebrated her new deal, writing on Instagram, “Big week! Super excited for what’s to come!”

Re-runs of Giada‘s shows, including Giada at Home and Giada Entertains, will still be shown on Food Network and discovery+.

Last year, another long-time Food Network star left the network.
