House of the Dragon actor Emma D’Arcy had to back out a role in an upcoming biopic about Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya.
The 30-year-old actor was set to play Anna‘s daughter Vera Politkovskaya in the movie, which is titled Anna and stars Maxine Peake. However, they gave up the role due to scheduling conflicts.
Emma will be replaced by Naomi Battrick, according to Deadline.

Anna will be directed by James Strong and has a screenplay from Eric Poppen. It reportedly began principal photography in the U.K. and Latvia within the last few weeks. It appears that Emma dropped out of the project several weeks ago, too.
