According to a report published by Variety on Monday (June 6), the film has scored a major second weekend, earning $90 million.

The outlet adds that ticket sales only declined 29% in its second weekend, which is the lowest percentage in history for a film that debuted to $100 million or more.
By contrast, most blockbusters often experience at least a 50% drop in ticket sales after their opening weekends. Spider-Man: No Way Home and Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness each declined 67%, while Robert Pattinson‘s The Batman fell 50% in week two.
Top Gun: Maverick has grossed $295 million at the domestic box office and has earned %550 million globally.
