Paula Abdul is the guest judge on the latest episode of American Idol and she made a comment about former co-star Simon Cowell that completely shocked host Ryan Seacrest.
The moment happened when Ryan did a video call with fellow former judge Randy Jackson, who appeared on FaceTime via an iPad.
“I’m so excited to see Randy!” Paula said when she saw him on the iPad. He then said, “It feels like old times, right?”
What Paula said next is what completely shocked Ryan and the rest of the audience.

Paula replied, “Yes it does. We’re just missing the STD.” At this point, Ryan appeared speechless and wasn’t sure what to say next. If you didn’t realize, she was referring to Simon as the STD.
After realizing that she shocked the audience, Paula thought of something to make STD an acronym. She added, “…the super, talented… debonair.”
Ryan quickly segued to more conversation with Randy, who added, “I think Paula is doing an amazing job, next to the amazing Katy and the amazing Lionel.”
