Andrew Scott has reportedly been approached to join the upcoming fifth season of The Crown, but there’s a chance he might not be able to take the role.
The 44-year-old actor, who famously played the “hot priest” in season two of Fleabag, is in talks to play former Prime Minister Tony Blair, according to The Sun.
Blair came into power in 1997 when he was 43. The upcoming season of The Crown will follow the death of Princess Diana and how Blair did not agree with the way it was handled by Queen Elizabeth.
There’s a chance that Andrew might not get to do the show though.

Andrew‘s rep told Daily Mail that the actor is “‘unavailable’ for the current filming dates so he would have to shuffle his schedules to make The Crown role work.” It seems he’s interested in taking the role at least, so hopefully things can be shuffled around!
The new season begins filming in July and new cast members have already been announced for several lead roles.
