Prince Harry Speaks Candidly About Leaving The World A Better Place For Son Archie

Prince Harry Speaks Candidly About Leaving The World A Better Place For Son Archie

Prince Harry is opening up about his passion for conservation and how it all heightened once his son, Archie, was born in 2019.

During a new interview, the 36-year-old Duke of Sussex helped to launch the WaterBear network, a conservation-based streaming service, and spoke about how Archie brought new meaning to his life.

“Being in nature is the most healing part of life. I truly believe that’s why it’s there,” Harry said. “From the moment you become a father, everything really does change because then you start to realize, well, what is the point in bringing a new person into this world when they get to your age and it’s on fire?”

Harry continued on, saying that what humans do right now with the planet will affect the next generation: “We can’t steal their future, we really can’t. That’s not the role, that’s not the job we’re here for. I’ve always believed that hopefully we can leave the world in a better place than when we found it.”

He also commented about how rough the year has been for everyone.

“Somebody said to me at the beginning of the pandemic, it’s almost as if Mother Nature has sent us to our rooms for bad behavior. To really take a moment and think about what we’ve done.”

It was just recently revealed that Harry‘s wife, Meghan Markle, had suffered a miscarriage earlier in the year.

“Sitting in a hospital bed, watching my husband’s heartbreak as he tried to hold the shattered pieces of mine, I realized that the only way to begin to heal is to first ask, ‘Are you OK?’” she wrote in an op-ed for the New York Times.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Harry and his older brother Prince William were still on the outs, and a royal source is speaking out about what’s going on with them.
