Rose Byrne is gorgeous in a black gown as she strikes a pose at Ads-Up inaugural It’s Your Shout Gala on Thursday (April 25) in Greenwich Village in New York City.
The 39-year-old Instant Family star, who served as co-host, was by Donna Karan, Deborra Lee-Furness and co-host Laura Brown at the event held in support of 500 refugees who have been resettled in the United States from Manus Island and Nauru.
“Everyone deserves to live in freedom with financial security, and education is one of the best ways to achieve that,” Rose said during her speech on stage. “The Australian community has really stepped up to help these refugees and I couldn’t be prouder to lend them a hand.”
The evening raised over $120,000 which will go toward an educational fund, helping the new arrivals not only survive but thrive in America through vocational training in hopes of getting better-paying jobs.
