Amber Heard buddies up with Padma Lakshmi as they attend the Making Change On & Off the Screen panel on Saturday (March 9) at the Hilton Hotel in Austin, Texas.
The ladies were joined by actor Ike Barinholtz and Executive Director of the ACLU, Anthony Romero at the panel discussion held during the 2019 SXSW Festival.

During the discussion, Padma opened up about her decision to write the op-ed in the New York Times back in September where she revealed she was molested by a family member at 7 and raped at 16.
“I sadly know more women who have had some version of sexual abuse happen to them than not,” Padma shared. “That’s terrifying to me because when somebody takes your innocence like that, your way of being changes. You are never that happy-go-lucky, free child anymore. When someone robs that [from] you, you can never get it back, it’s like trying to unring a bell.”
