SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!
Survivor is back once again! Eighteen castaways are in the running for Season 38 of the hit CBS series, and this season is called “Edge of Extinction.”
This season introduces a new concept, where contestants who are voted off have an option to take a boat to an area known as the “Extinction Island” rather than leave the game permanently. It’s an abandoned beach with fewer amenities than the main island, where they can either wait for an opportunity to re-join the game or leave at any point. The remaining contestants will also initially be unaware of this twist.
Four fan favorites – Kelley Wentworth, David Wright, Joe Anglim and Aubry Bracco are also back to compete. Meet all of the contestants!

The contestants are split between the Manu tribe and the Kama tribe. Ron, on the Kama tribe, learns that he’s received an advantage: he can choose to steal the other tribe’s reward, get an extra vote or individual immunity, but the advantage will no longer have power after the third tribal council.
Kama Tribe wins the first immunity challenge of the season.
During the first tribal council, the Manu Tribe places their votes. There are three votes for Wendy, one for Lauren, one for Kelley, and four for Reem.
Reem is the first contestant voted off of the island. She decides to get on the boat to Extinction Island.
