Kelly Clarkson performs different cover songs on nearly every stop of her Meaning of Life Tour and her latest one was incredible!

The 36-year-old singer performed the Grammy-winning song “The Joke” by Brandi Carlile during her show on Thursday (February 21) in Detroit, Mich.

“I love Brandi Carlile. If you get a chance to see her live, it is amazing. She’s so inspiring and just talented and just a really rad human,” Kelly said before the performance. “She had this big performance at the Grammys recently, and I was so excited for her because it couldn’t have happened to a cooler human being, and a more talented one at that.”

Brandi tweeted out the video of the performance and said, “Nailed it!”
