You has become a giant hit for Netflix and a second season will be released on the streaming service later this year.
The show, starring Penn Badgley, aired on Lifetime last fall and then debuted on Netflix over the holidays. The streamer estimates that 40 million people will have watched the series in its first month of release.
Now, Sera Gamble, one of the show’s creators, is opening up about how things will change for season two.
“Certain things are changing in the way we are thinking about Season 2 of You,” Sera told The New York Times. “We have a little more flexibility around timing, since we don’t have commercial ads, and also we can say the word [expletive] a lot more. As someone who swears a lot, that’s a great thing. Netflix lets you give as many [expletive] as you want. [Laughs].”
