Taylor Swift has a lot of reasons to be celebrating tonight!
The 28-year-old singer won the award for Artist of the Year at the 2018 American Music Awards to push her amount of wins at the show to 23, the most for a female artist.
Taylor also delivered an important message to fans while accepting the award on Tuesday night (October 9) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
“I just wanted to make a mention of the fact that this award and every single award given out tonight were voted on by the people, and you know what else is voted on by the people, is the midterm elections on November 6. Get out and vote. I love you guys,” Taylor said while reminding fans to vote.
The award was presented to Taylor by Lenny Kravitz.
Is it cool that she said all that? Of course it is. @taylorswift13 accepts the award for #AMAs Artist of the Year! 🎉 #TaylorSwiftAMAs pic.twitter.com/EmTzjlB8uH
