Lydia Hearst is one of the newest faces on Syfy’s Z Nation, and we caught up with her to learn a little more about her!
Lydia plays Pandora on the show, which airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET and just premiered in its fifth season earlier in October.
Set after a zombie virus plagues the country, a team of everyday heroes must transport the only known survivor from New York to California where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood.
In honor of Lydia‘s addition to the show, JJ is sharing these 10 Fun Facts that you probably don’t know. Check them out!
- 1. I LOVE horror. I love scary movies, I read all the psychological thriller novels that I can get my hands on, I’m obsessed with the supernatural and true crime, and I even like to visit famously haunted locations. I just love being scared, solving mysteries, and that rush of adrenaline or feeling of suspense. To put it simply, horror is my absolute favorite form of entertainment.
- 2. I think that pickles are revolting.
- 3. I have played the flute since I was six years old.
- 4. I love playing video games. I’m pretty addicted to playing my Nintendo Switch – cannot even begin to express how excited I am for the new Animal Crossing – and I even have an arcade in my house so I get to play pinball and Big Buck Hunter whenever I like (which is quite often).
- 5. I am all about country music, it’s my favorite.

- 6. I don’t drink alcohol.
- 7. I love candy! I love it so much that I built a candy bar in my home which is fully stocked with various Nestle candies like Runts, Sweet Tarts, sour Sweet Tarts, various sour belts, Cry Baby Tears, Sour Patch Kids and Goobers. I tend to indulge in the sour candies more, but I certainly don’t discriminate when it comes to sugar and sweets.
- 8. I have watched every episode of Futurama at least a dozen times – if not more.
- 9. I really enjoy cooking. Thanksgiving is probably my all-time-favorite meal to prepare; the turkey, stuffing and all the fixings! I love hosting dinner and spending time with my friends and family who mean the world to me.
- 10. I am an amateur ventriloquist. I used to do it a lot and practice when I was younger; I only recently just got back into playing around with my dummies.
