Stars from the upcoming Descendants: Wicked Wonderland just debuted a new song from the movie this week!

Malia Baker, Liamani Segura, Alexandro Byrd, Brendon Tremblay and Kiara Romero performed a special version of the song “Perfect Princess” at Disneyland, which aired on American Idol on Monday night (April 20) during Disney Night.

The new song is our first taste of the music in the upcoming fifth Descendants movie!

Here’s a synopsis for D5: Now that the Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora) is nice and Cinderella (Brandy) is safe, things seem perfect for Red (Kylie Cantrall) and Chloe (Baker)… little do they know that changing the past created a new villain: Maddox Hatter (Leonardo Nam). When Maddox captures the Queen of Hearts, Red and Chloe must work with Red’s new sister Pink (Segura), Luisa Madrigal’s son Luis (Byrd), and Maddox’s son Max (Tremblay) to save her and Wonderland.

Harper Finkle is BACK!

Disney has confirmed that Jennifer Stone will be reprising her Wizards of Waverly Place role in the upcoming four-part finale event of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.

The actress turned nurse will return to the screen in the third season, which is airing on Disney Channel and Disney+ this summer.

In the four-part event, Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown), still reeling from losing Alex (Selena Gomez) at the end of Season 2, discovers that the only way to rescue her mother is to reunite with her long-lost father. As her family bands together to find Alex, Billie realizes that their combined power is the only way the Russos can defeat the evil plaguing them.

Just this week, Selena and Jennifer reunited on set of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place while filming the upcoming finale event.

Jennifer is the latest OG Wizards star to return for the four-part third season. It was also recently announced that Gregg Sulkin will be back as Mason Greyback!

Previously, David DeLuise and Maria Canals-Barrera have also reprised their roles as Jerry and Theresa Russo.

In addition to appearing on screen, Selena is also making her directorial debut with the first episode, and she continues in her role as an executive producer.

Lionsgate recently debuted a new trailer for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping!

The upcoming sixth movie in The Hunger Games franchise is based on the Suzanne Collins novel the same name and will hit theaters later this year.

Sunrise on the Reaping revisits the world of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.

The movie follows a young Haymitch Abernathy (Joseph Zada), in a role made famous by Woody Harrelson in the original movies. Gossip Girl‘s Whitney Peak plays his love interest, Lenore Dove Baird. If you don’t know, Haymitch ends up winning the games!

Directed once again by Francis Lawrence, the new movie features a star-studded cast, which also includes Jesse Plemons, Ralph Fiennes, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning, Mckenna Grace, Maya Hawke and Kelvin Harrison Jr.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will be released in theaters on November 20, 2026 – Check out the new trailer here!

Gregg Sulkin is reprising his Wizards of Waverly Place character!

It was just announced on Thursday (April 16) that the 33-year-old actor will return as Mason Greyback for the upcoming four-part Wizards Beyond Waverly Place finale event, according to Deadline.

It’s currently unclear how Mason will fit into the four-part finale event, or how many episodes he will appear in.

“Back where it all began with a cast and crew that I will always call family – excited for you all to see Mason again,” Gregg shared on Instagram along with the news, and a first look photo of him back on set.

It was speculated that Gregg would reprise his role in season one after he visited the set, but David Henrie confirmed that he was only visiting.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Wizards Beyond would be coming to an end with a four-part finale event, which is set to air on Disney+ and Disney Channel later this year.

Selena Gomez will step into the director’s chair for the first time with the premiere episode, as well as appearing on screen and serving as executive producer.

This week, David confirmed that they were back on set to film the final episodes.

“Landed back in LA for Season 3 @disneywizardsseries, episode 1 in the can! My hope is that our finale season ends the way the original show began, with family values and Russos having each other’s backs! It’s been an honor serving you all with this show ??,” he shared on Instagram this week, along with photos from set.

Heartstopper‘s Kit Connor has a big new role – he’ll voice Charlie in the new Netflix animated film, Charlie vs. the Chocolate Factory.

Thor: Love and Thunder‘s Taika Waititi will voice the famous chocolate-maker, Willy Wonka.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis: Willy Wonka (Waititi) has spent the years since the Golden Ticket contest behind bars (not the chocolate kind) for the crime of turning a child into a blueberry. Having served his time, Wonka returns to his factory determined to add a little sweetness to a bitter world. But one thing stands in his way: teenager Charlie Paley (Connor) and his friends. Facing eviction, this next generation of “rotten” kids plot to break into the factory, nab a priceless Wonka Bar, and save their homes. But like many before them who enter the fantastical world of the factory, these kids are in for a bit more than they can chew…

Kylie Cantrall is making a big career move!

The 20-year-old Descendants: The Rise of Red star was just announced to have signed with Republic Records, advancing her growing career in music, according to Billboard.

Along with her new record deal, Kylie is set to release her first single with the company, “Carrie Bradshaw,” later this spring.

“I’m so excited to partner with Republic Records as I release my debut single, ‘Carrie Bradshaw,’ an emotional pop anthem about that moment when you leave your teenage years behind and start writing your own story,” she shared in a statement. “This past year has been filled with highs and lows, and I’ve poured all of that into the music. It’s honest, it’s personal, and even the heartbreak songs will make you want to dance. I can’t wait for everyone to hear what’s coming.”

“Kylie is an incredibly compelling artist with a clear sense of who she is and where she’s going. Milo Manheim is dishing on landing the lead male role in the upcoming live-action Tangled movie!

The 25-year-old Zombies star has been cast as Flynn Rider in the Disney film, which is set to begin filming in Spain soon.

During a recent interview, Milo shared how he prepared himself to not get the role and how he reacted at the end of the day after his casting was announced.

“I spent all my time preparing myself to get the call that I didn’t book it,” he told VMAN. “Anytime you get any role in this industry, it needs to be a perfect storm of timing, of people rooting for you, and of you matching enough people’s visions of the character.”

He even recalled seeing the original animated movie in theaters when it first came out in 2010.

“I actually remember going to see it in theaters with my cousin, Noah. I was nine years old,” he said with a grin. “I just didn’t think that it would ever be a perfect storm for something this important to me, and it was. I’m still pinching myself.”

Previously, he revealed he only learned he booked the role right before the announcement was made.

“I woke up that morning just being like, ‘Here comes another day of convincing myself I didn’t get this role.’ When I [did], my skin literally was tingling,” Milo shared. “My body was rushing with so much serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins that I almost looked like I wasn’t feeling any emotion at all, like I was blank- faced for the whole day. It wasn’t until the end of the day when I hung up my last phone call, and crumbled into a ball and cried on the floor.”

Milo is set to head to Spain to film the new movie, alongside Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel. He notes there are big shoes to fill with the character, but also wants to make it his own.

“I think that is what scares me a little bit, finding the balance of making it my own while also honoring the iconic character he is,” he dished, adding with a cheeky smirk, “But obviously, I’m not a cartoon, so I’m going to have to make it a little bit different.”
